Voluspa Jarpa
Voluspa Jarpa nació en 1971 en Chile y actualmente es una de las artistas visuales más destacadas de la escena latinoamericana. Ha exhibido su trabajo en numerosos países de América, Europa y Asia, destacando especialmente su participación en la 31 Bienal de Sao Paulo (2014), en la V Bienal de Shanghai (2004) y en la VI Bienal de La Habana (1997), además de las muestras individuales: Solo Projects: Focus Latinoamérica de Feria ARCO, Madrid, 2012; “Waking State”, París, galería Mor Charpentier, 2016.
Como docente, se desempeña en la escuela de Arte de la Universidad Católica.
Voluspa Jarpa was born in 1971 in Chile and is currently one of the most prominent visual artists in the Latin American scene. She has exhibited her work in numerous countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, notably her participation in the 31st São Paulo Biennial (2014), the 5th Shanghai Biennial (2004), and the 6th Havana Biennial (1997), in addition to solo exhibitions: Solo Projects: Focus Latin America at Feria ARCO, Madrid, 2012; “Waking State,” Paris, Mor Charpentier Gallery, 2016.
Voluspa is also a teacher for the School of Art at the Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile.
